Abstract

Medas, one among the saptadhatu generally has the image of a villain as it is involved in the pathology of various diseases especially when medovriddhi leads to dushchikitsyaroga such as atisthoulya. In fact, medas is essential for health as it provides overall strength to the gross physical body. Balance of medas is the most important key to maintain swasthya and it will help in the prevention of many lifestyle disorders. The current article puts light on the measurability of medas that can deliver an all-new step towards the diagnosis as well as prevention of non-communicable diseases.
